The Information Protection Officer shall be the Classified Information Protection, Security and Defense Mobilization Preparation Unit Manager. He shall perform the duties and tasks assigned in relation to the Classified Information Protection Act (CIPA), manage the unit and bear responsibility for the safeguarding, access control and internal security of the buildings and sites managed by the Agency, the information security of the Automated Information systems (AIS) and cryptography security.

The Information Security officer shall carry out the activities related to classified information protection. The Classified Information Protection, Security and Defense Mobilization Preparation Unit shall provide support to the information security officer in implementing the tasks and duties assigned pursuant to the Classified Information Protection Act.

Regarding the field of defense and mobilization preparation, the Classified Information Protection, Security and Defense Mobilization Preparation Unit shall maintain and update the plans, programs and instructions regarding the preparation and bringing the Agency ready to work in the event of disaster or within conditions of “state of war”, “martial law” or “emergency”; he shall prepare reasoned and updated plans regarding the wartime reserves necessary for assuring provision of electronic communications to be provided by the Agency and others.
